Lions to EPS Nordic III final

Lions are through to the EPS Nordic III final following their victory over RAGE Gaming on de_nuke and de_inferno.

Starting out as Terrorist on de_nuke, Lions managed to dominate their Swedish rivals up until the score of 6-1, but a sudden turn of events occured as RAGE counterattacked and scored three rounds. Although RAGE was in the limelight for a few rounds, Lions fought back and maneuvered the first half in to 9-6.

Switching sides, RAGE engaged heavy fire upon Lions, which eventually paid off as they managed to equalize at 9-9. However, Lions did not frown much and made sure to seal the first map at 16-11.

Now playing Terrorist on de_inferno, Lions once again managed to come out on the brighter side, nailing four consecutive rounds before RAGE got a hold of one. That one round which RAGE claimed would turn out to be the only one for a little while.

Lions kicked into high gear and boasted eight rounds, but RAGE certainly had other plans than harsh defeat. Faruk "pita" Pita's team held back Lions in order to settle the first half to 7-8, now only being one round behind their opponents.

The audience witnessed what Lions are capable of doing in the following half, as the team of trusty Swedes steamrolled RAGE for six straight rounds. Even though RAGE tried to counter, it was not enough, seeing Lions claim victory at 16-10.

Broken tag

With Lions' impressive performance against RAGE, they have successfully gained access to the EPS Nordic III final. Their contenders will be found tomorrow, in the match between mTw and fnatic.
